ITV’s celebrity editions of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire? is back soon with a special Pantomime Edition. You’ll get to see your favorite fairy tales and folk legends come to life as teams of celebrities sit in the Hot Seat to win £1,000,000 split between charity and a viewer prize pot.  The special will air Sunday, December 9th, at 6:40PM UK (1:40PM ET).

One of the more notable stars playing is Baywatch‘s David Hasselhoff.  He will play for the Pengeulan Primary School in Wales.  Joining him is Loose Women presenter Denise Welch.  Denise is playing for The Olivia Arnold Trust. David said, “One minute I’m terrified, the next I can’t wait to jump in to the seat. I’ve been gearing up and I’m ready to face the million pound question. I’m playing for Pengeulan Primary School in Wales, a school close to my heart, I just hope I can win some big bucks for them.”

The next team features comedian and Don’t Blow the Inheritance! host Tim Vine trying to win £1,000,000 for The Cure Parkinson’s Trust.  His partner will be former Eastenders actress Cheryl Fergison who will sit in the Hot Seat for the hospice at home charity, ChYps. Tim, who previously played, said, “I’m looking forward to appearing on the show very much. My previous best was one thousand pounds so I’d be happy if the show was called ‘who wants to win more than a thousand pounds.”

Finally playing Millionaire will be soap star John Partridge who will be playing for The Terrence Higgins Trust. His teammate is television presenter Alison Hammond who is hoping to win the jackpot for Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Alison commented, “I’m really excited about Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?. I’ve downloaded the app on my iPhone but can’t get past £8k. However, when I met John Partridge I felt we were a match made in heaven.”

As always Chris Tarrant will host.  Again whatever the celebrity teams win will be split between their charities and a viewer prize pot which could eclipse well over £100,000 depending on how the players do.  Will you be that lucky viewer?  Watch the Pantomime edition of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire? on December 9th at 6:40PM UK to find out.
